An art-ificial way-out.
In 2012, a critical year for the economic recovery of our country, we are mobilizing all our energy and enthusiasm for an artistic and educational program that highlights the cultural physiognomy of Naxos. The development and spread of the Festival's activities and the bridge with artists from abroad emphasize the need for extroversion and creative reaction against the fear of economic contraction and social collapse. Art once again shows us the way, it is a way out and a consolation. Paraphrasing Walter Benjamin, we would say that "hope was given to art for those who have no hope". Because art always hopes and rebels with a cause.
