The Naxos Festival completes 15 years of tireless and creative progress with the main concern of promoting Naxos as a first-choice cultural-tourist destination. In this context, we hosted, commissioned and created high-quality productions and seminars, through meetings with the most important creators of the older and younger generations, as well as organizations, museums, institutes, embassies and festivals. We built year after year, tile by tile, a unique multi-collective identity, which articulates culture with education, training and social intervention, a palimpsest that is constantly renewed and redefined, without losing its character. This year, observing the collapse and fragmentation that has dominated our country in recent years, both on a psychological and social, political and economic level, we decided to confront and name this phenomenon — “Falling Apart” is the title of the Festival’s art exhibition. We attempt to apply the art of crackle, to connect our fragments with that precious material “of which dreams are made” and to continue to offer and express ourselves in an adverse environment of ruins.
