2018, eighteen years of the Naxos Festival. Eight, the number of repetition, of multiplicity, the vertical symbol of infinity meets our horizontal ephemeral everyday life. In its helical shape, time makes cycles, as the visual exhibition “Around & About” centered on the Bazeos Tower develops in Naxos, in the vicinity… In the same way that the people, works and events of the Festival merge, move away and return from summer to summer, forming a consistent cultural condition harmonious with the space, the environment, the place and the audience. Visual arts, theater, concerts and cinema keep us company this summer until September.

A diverse group of artists installs new creations in the Bazaios Tower, in the dilapidated building on Alykos beach and elsewhere on the island. Artists: Wild Drawing (IDN/GR), Patricia Garcia-Gomez (USA), Lisa Kaftori (USA), Aris Marakis (IT), Laurent Reynès (FR). Curator: Marios Vazaios. Associate curator: Klaus Pfeiffer. Curator of the space: Katerina Zourari. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
