Odysseus on Naxos?
The journey of the Naxos Festival from and to the Tower of Bazeos continues for the sixth consecutive year, approaching and exploring landscapes of art, theater, music and visual creation, areas of oblivion and memory, shaping another cultural geography for the island. This year, the beloved author Dimitris Dimitriadis is honored: we consider it an honor that the entire trilogy “Odysseus – Ithaca – Homer” will be presented for the first time here in Naxos during the three-day tribute. The theme “Environment of Life and Culture” includes artistic performances, discussions, seminars and the promotion of the surrounding area. As George Heimonas, to whom we dedicated the first Festival, argues: “If science helps man to understand the world, art helps man to be understood by the world.”
